Gioia made her mark on the music scene as a member of the platinum selling Arista Records pop group Exposé. One by one Exposé started releasing blockbuster albums (Exposure, What You Don’t Know) and numerous chart-topping singles including Come Go With Me, Point Of No Return, Let Me Be The One, What You Don’t Know, Tell Me Why and Billboards #1 hit single, Seasons Change.

Gioia's time with Exposé was cut short when she began experiencing trouble with her voice while on tour. She was later diagnosed with a benign throat tumor which ultimately led to the complete loss of her voice. She was not able to speak for almost 3 years and was deemed disabled as a vocalist. Contrary to all medical opinions, by nothing short of a miracle, Gioia began to regain her voice and was finally able to sing again!

Today Gioia is still performing with Expose. She's thankful for the gifts she has received, thankful for the fans, and thankful she gets to do what she was born to do...CREATE MUSIC THAT MOVES PEOPLE!
