GiddyUp Bio
Hottest Music This Side of West Hell
Tim and Mike Ott were born and raised in Pelican, Louisiana. They grew up with friends and family playing music and singing on the front porch every Friday night. They were number 8 (Tim) and number 11 (Mike)of 13 children. Tim always watched his Dad play the guitar, which he still has with his many other guitars. Tim has been playing guitar since he was eight years old. He has played all over the United States with numerous bands since his early teens and has never lost his love for music and song writing.
Michael has always had a gift to write songs and he has always loved the west. He combined the love of both and his great musical talent to write western songs. Tim and Michael both shared the same love of music and founded Giddyup. Mike has also recorded another album titled "Lonesome Cowboy" and he has written a book of cowboy poetry titled "A Cowboy Soul". Their love for the old western music of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers just to name a couple gave them the dream of producing new western music and turning a new generation on to a new sound of western and helping to keep the true western music alive. Giddyup also has the privilege of having Lee Goins on drums and Lee just happens to be a brother-in-law now, who married the baby of the Ott gang, number 13. Lee has played with numerous bands since his early teens. Lee didn't get the nickname "Thunder Foot" for nothing. Bobby Langston is no stranger to the music world. He has played with many bands all over the United States. Bobby plays guitar and bass guitar, and anything else you put in front of him... Bobby has been in the music industry for years. John Peck has added his great fiddle playing to Giddyup John has played for years with artists such as Mark Chestnut, and many others. John adds a unique style to the band.Giddyup was founded by the Ott brothers who both know that God blessed them with great parents who shared a unique love for each other and especially their family. They were blessed with having a gift of music and songwriting and together they share their new western songs and the best picking you'll ever hear and probably the best new western sound this side of WEST HELL.

Excellent Western Swing CD
author: RadioIndy.comThe self-titled CD from the band Giddyup has all the makings of the perfect Western Swing CD. One swinging tune right after another, sure to please the dancehall crowds. Brothers Michael and Tim, from a family with 13 children, sure know how the West was won! Extremely fantastic instrumentally, plus a whole lot of story-telling songs to inspire and touch your hearts. Wow, hard to pick a favorite, as they all are really good. "No Horse Town" and the title cut 'Giddyup" are two that harken listeners back to simpler times, and thus are deemed as favorite cuts. Again, this entire CD is a winner!
