notes
This debut CD Come Ready and See Me is a collection of songs mostly written in the 19th century until the mid 20th century, beautifully interpreted by the Mediterranean flavored voice of Lebanese Soprano Ghada Ghanem.
While living in NYC, she used to work for the UN and used all her lunch breaks to do this recording. It was recorded at TOM TOM Recording Studio and at the RADIO RECORDING STUDIO in NYC in 1997. Emily Olin is accompanying her on the piano, Simon Shaheen on the Oud, and Bassam Saba on the flute.
It is a unique combination of songs from Russia, America, France and the Middle East.
Miss Ghanem can be heard in After Black Room, A Composition by Sarah Plant (A Middle Eastern Chant on Robaiyyat Omar Al-Khayyam), commissioned by Bill T. Jones Dance Group, New York - 1996.
In August 2004, Miss Ghanem gave a solo concert with Pianist Ramzi Yassa, sponsored by Talal Abu Ghazaleh & Co International at Cambridge University in England. Her Cambridge University Classical Concert was out in 2004.

Ghada Ghanem has a universal appeal
author: Dr Kamal DIbThis is my second CD of Ghada Ghanem, and it is equally enjoyable and great t o listen to. Ghada has a universal appeal and a facility with languages that help move between cultures and musical expressions with ease.
