Well known in virtual reality and among Russian-speaking immigrant community poet, song writer and performer, Gena Sergienko was born in Kiev, Ukraine. Formal musical education got at The Kiev State Institute of Culture. He wrote his first song in 1982. Currently lives in Chicago and actively participates in concerts as a song writer/performer.

Variety of songs were included in his first album "Sir Genka in the Windy City", which was released in 2005. These are songs about love, real-life situations, song-comedies etc., in the Russian Chanson style.
They are popular among public and many of them have been played on Russian radio stations in Chicago, San Francisco, Kaliningrad.

Three Russian-born musicians helped to make arrangements of the songs and accompanied them on keyboards and guitars.
