Strong vocals, with violin sounds that give it a new unique sound.
author: Victoria GardnerThis album gives a wide feel, from songs that are strong and theatrical, as though written for a musical, to others that are sweet and catchy. If you only want to listen to one song I recomend Swarm for the theatrical and On the Tiles for a touch of something different!
Promising Staight Ahead Rock
author: Keith Ames - Musician Magazine UKStraight ahead rock fronted by the uncompromising singing of ‘Geezerbird’. Featuring the six string dexterity of Lin Minchin formerly of One the Juggler, the band present mid paced, classic pop/rock even reminding us of the odd forgotten gem such as Sparks’ ‘Never turn your back on Mother Earth’. Clever production touches arise too on ‘Fireworks’ with its memorable pay off ‘Baby that’s cool!’ which allow the guitar and violin to interweave effectively.
Love it, love it, love it!
author: Linda PadmanTotally great, my favourite tracks being the Sparks cover and Pity. You have to listen to this album!
Catchy, poignant, punky, folksy, rocky & tuneful
author: Vic MardenThis CD contains a wide variety of styles, from the catchy and bouncy Geezerbirds, On The Tiles, Right Now and Strong Love to the heartfelt and poignant Do You Feel It Too? and Pity. It resolutely gives the finger to any attempt to categorise it. The final track is one you'll have to buy the album to appreciate fully, as the two minute sampler doesn't do justice to its epic majesty. Well worth a listen.
