Who's EARL? (GBE?) Original? Yes. Rock? Maybe. Something new? Absolutely. During the recording sessions last summer, the band decided to revise and include a few brand new songs and arrangements. The new song line-up would continue to define the band's unique sound. The album would include fan favorites such as "Lonely Heart" and "Cain and Abel", along with the new "Another Rainy Day" and "The Stranger". "Good Brother Earl" sheds light on the bands eclectic influences and stellar musicianship by combining timeless, soul-driven, feel-good music with passionate lyrics and smooth vocals.
The quintet, based in Pittsburgh, formed in 2001, and continues to gain fans through their spirited performances.
The bands music was featured on a compilation CD called, "Decent Xposure," which included other independent artists such as Ari Hest, and Ingram Hill. Additionally, out of 1600 bands, Good Brother Earl was screened by TAXI and Billboard as on of the top 15 independent acts in the Northeastern U.S. The original sound has also earned them spots on local radio stations, in successful state senate and governor campaigns, and in Hollywood films, including "Autopsy Room 4" written by legendary thriller writer, Stephen King.
