This is good Sunday afternoon music. Or Saturday morning. And quite possibly Wednesday before three. Anytime is the right time if you like good honest songs with an acoustic rock sound. People of all ages have really responded to this disc! Check it out!
The songs on "When I get off the Moon" truly represent a labor of love. My main collaborator and long time friend, Barb Nummer, and I, simply decided to put some serious music together after so many years of casual jamming and occasional songwriting. We started rehearsing and writing and we were really quite pleased with what was coming out of this new effort.
Most of the songs on the disc were written during that time. The momentum carried us straight through the recording process. Our friends, The Dungbeatles, pros that they are, helped us lay these songs down in their basement studio, Magic Donkey Sound. Jordy Bradley engineered while we put the basic tracks down. Pete Peltier and Thad Bradley came in and intuitively laid down perfect bass and drums respectively. We all had a great time.
I think you can hear all these elements on the disc. The hard work, the songwriting craft, the studio know how, and good friends having a great time. Check it out!

Gourmet food for the musically starved!
author: A music fan from Houston, TXThis is one of those CD's that gets better every time you listen to it. A good combination of rock/folk songs with memorable tunes and thoughtful lyrics. My two current favorites are "Love Don't Play" (for the maritally-challenged) and "Dead" - which just has some really cool, poetic lyrics. I also love the piano on "Hopes and Wishes". This band actually reminds me some of Warren Zevon, for those old enough to remember him. It's definitely worth your 12 bucks!
