notes
THIS FIRST EDITION CD is almost OUT OF PRINT and available NO WHERE ELSE BUT HERE! Luckily, we just found a few extra copies in the garage... and then we'll be out of these for good. That's forever, folks! Shut Eye will not re-release this album. Buy your copy while you can.
This is their debut full-length CD which features 13 tracks of mostly instrumental guitar music by Brent Hinds of sludge rock act MASTODON.
Fiend Without a Face is a trio of twangy head-banging attack-rock comprised of mostly instrumental surf psychobilly mixed with tinges of 60's calypso. Brent Hinds screams a bit between riffs... kind of like if Mastodon went psychobilly. Give it a listen and you'll be a believer, just like the thousands of other Mastodon fans turned Fiendheads.

This album is a great. I met them a long time ago when i was living in atl and got a copy from the producer Clint Steel (great guy). you should definately get a copy while you can.
Fantastic album, but...
author: Cato BorresenBut I cant help but feel a little hustled. Cdbaby claimed to have only 3 or less albums left, and charged me $34.99 for the cd. Now they claim to have found some in the garage, and charges $19.99. I do not find that funny. But hey - the album is worth $34.99, it's one of the best instrumental albums I've ever heard.
Excellent
author: The fiendThis was a great cd with some really cool guitar riffs. Being a fan of Mastodon and Brent I wanted to try out something he did before moving on to Mastodon, and I was impressed. Ive never really been into rockabilly but now I wish there were some other FWOAF albums...
Don't Miss Out On What's Left!
author: Mike V Hidden SanctuaryWhile many indie bands can receive their due recognition from an assortment of fans across the globe, the sad reality is that once a pressing is gone, it is gone for good. For those with a penchant for fiendishly good music that can fall within the realms of goth surf/gothabilly, do NOT pass up a chance to own this remarkable body of work.
Oh! fiend !
