The Story
As a new mother, I was frustrated. As a registered Pediatric Nurse, I was skeptical. But after enduring many sleepless hours of inexplicable crying from our new baby, Tucker, I was willing to try almost anything.

Grandma Hope suggested, "Oh, he's just a little colicky... run your vacuum cleaner, or turn on your dryer, he'll stop crying". Much to my amazement and appreciation, it worked like a charm.

I was prepared to wear out some Hoovers when it dawned on me that my brother-in-law Andy, a musician, has a recording studio. Would a recording of these sounds work as well as the real thing???... After assuring him that I wasn't crazy, he agreed to give it a shot.

It was a Friday night. My sister Andrea cooked spaghetti, my husband Eric "played" all of the instruments (appliances), and Andy engineered the "session" with a slight look of disbelief. Then it was time for the true test.

Like clockwork, Tucker kicked into one of his evening "cry-a-thons". However, within moments of hearing the recording, he stopped crying. Within five minutes not only was he asleep, so was Tucker's little cousin Madison and their cat, Jesse.

The clinical explanation for all this has something to with "white noise" and how these types of sounds may trigger certain relaxation reflexes in the brain. But you know, I don't really care how it works,and neither will you.

We are confident that you will find this product to be an indispensable addition to your parenting survival kit.

    I ordered this CD when I was having really bad evenings with my daughter. She now goes to bed in the evening easily, but daytime naps are a bit sketchy. Playing the CD helps with the daytime noises and she stays down for longer and longer every day. I haven't found which sound she likes best, but something is better than nothing.

    I heard it worked great for newborns so I thought it might sooth my little friend Malachi during luekemia treatments. Here is a quote from his mother...     I desperately sat in my house running the vaccum to calm my 10 week old baby. From the time he was 2 weeks old, the vacuum was the only thing that calmed him. The only problem was that the vacuum couldn't go with me in the car!! I searched in despair for a solution and found this AMAZING CD! This saved MY LIFE! - and my sanity!! I turn on the cd before I put the baby into the car and then put him in the car seat. Tada!! Calm baby! When the car stops, I turn it up a little bit and turn it down slightly as we drive. I'm telling you, this CD is a MUST!

    Our daughter had colic like no other - this CD saved us! She cried day and night until we found that she would only calm to the sound of running water. After several days and nights of running water almost constantly, I knew I had to find something else or our water bill was going to be through the roof! I did an internet search and found this. We got the fastest delivery possible, ran to the mailman when he arrived, put in the cd, skipped to the track of water running and held our breath . . . . . out daughter calmed right down JUST as she did with live water running. THIS THING IS HEAVEN SENT! You have NO idea how much sleep, money and sanity this thing saved us! Thank god for the 'repeat' button on cd players!!!

    I had trouble getting my four month old daughter to take naps during the day. Running the vacuum would work, but this CD gave me the chance to get done OTHER housework. I choose one of the tracks and put it on REPEAT for an hour or so. This CD is worth a try if you have a fussy baby.

    I am so glad that I ordered this cd! It has worked wonders during naptime for my 8 month old. The only thing I would do to improve it is to shorten the pauses between the different tracks. If my baby is very fussy or overtired, she will calm right down when the cd is started, but will begin to cry again when each track is over before the next one starts! Thanks! Sarah Falbo

    I bought this after seeing it in Parents Magazine. I thought I'd give it a try for my 8 week old collicky baby. Whenever we turned the vacuum on at home, he'd calm down. When we got the cd we tried it, but it didn't really calm my baby down. However, when I played it in a smaller room, it worked better. It wasn't as good as the real vacuum, but it did work (he calmed down, but wasn't completely calm). I do recommend it.

    The service was very quick and curteous. I think this makes a great CD for the car, esp. for long car rides. We just used it for the first time when the baby starting fussing on a 4 hour roadtrip, and it quieted him down in less than a minute - he went to sleep for the rest of the ride. We used Track 2 - hairdryer - his favorite at home.

    We received your CD (Grandma's Fussbusters--for colicky babies) in the mail yesterday. My husband did 4 backflips from the mailbox to the house, an excited grin on his face. As he unwrapped our precious package, we quickly whisked our screaming infant into his bedroom, where we turned on his radio and turned the volume up. We deposited the baby in his crib, hastily jammed the CD in the player, and pressed "play". A ray of light beamed down on our household at that moment, when our baby's screams were replaced by the soothing whir of a vacuum cleaner. Within minutes, our colicky baby was asleep for the first time in what seems like 6 weeks. We closed the door to his room, and after a celebratory hug and tears of relief, we went to the kitchen where, for the first time in months, we had a meal together.
