OUR SOUND: Furnace St. doesn't so much have a style as it does a sound. Sometimes we wanna dance. Sometimes we wanna cry. Sometimes we get angry. Sometimes we just wanna sit down and think about things. Sometimes we listen to Hall and Oates, Low, the Bee Gees, Skinny Puppy, Duran Duran, and Jawbox... sometimes you can tell. We are not interested in being cool, filling a niche, or making top-ten lists. We're just a couple of midwestern twenty-somethings looking for something to do other than drink or work ourselves to death.
OUR STORY: Lisa and Adam met each other in the mid-90's in high school. We became friends and began making music together. We started calling ourselves Furnace St., and a few years later we actually started to take ourselves seriously. We've played a bunch of shows in Ohio and Pennsylvania and New York and Illinois and D.C. and a few other places. Critics and fellow musicians generally seem to like Furnace St. We are currently working on a new album and preparing to do some touring this Summer, including performances in Europe.

author: mykThere are 12 reasons to LOVE this CD... and those would be tracks 1 through 12! Besides being another fine (and maybe the finest) example of the genius that is Furnace St, every song on this album has a way of playing with your every emotion. 'Brainiac' may contain the greatest bass line ever written, and track 6, 'Foiled Again'... i could die to this song.
Sweeps through every emotion there is...amazing!
author: AndroidHeadmusic is the kind of CD you can pop into your player no matter what kind of mood you're in, and immediately identify with at least one song on there, if not multiple...Sad? Happy? Melancholy? You can find a a song that matches your mood. I think I've listened to Headmusic so many times, the laser in my CD player finally burnt through it!
