Sci-fi nerd rap with influences from old school hip-hop and electronica. This album has rhymes that brag, get dorky, get political, reminisce, get silly, become philosophical and historical but are all held together by funky49.

notes
The Atari and a Magnavox boombox. Two of funky49's favorite toys as a kid growing up in South Jersey. Simple productions were made when a second boombox and a cheap sampling keyboard were added. Amiga MOD tracker songs. Done 'em. Pirated audio production software? Used them. Getting legit by buying ProTools LE with an MBox2? That's where funky49 is at now with his lyrical and musical album debut, Starblazer.
Starblazer was originally titled 'funky49 pees in the pool' until talking with the cover artist, Libby of Ninja Suicide. Inspired by her japanimation style and the cartoon, Starblazers, the cd was renamed inspiring funky49 to produce and write the title track! Starblazer is over 70 minutes of new music with a few retooled versions of internet-released favorites.
If you're a fan of the eclectic sound of the Beastie Boys, you will be a fan of funky49.
