legendary alabama songwriter jacky jack white has had hits with many of the best names in country music. this is a special album as jacky jack joins the equally legendary alabama artist j. burton fuller to make what can only be called the best back-porch album in memory. if ever there was a brother where art thou in the flesh, this is it. this music and more is featured live on a series jacky jack does for alabama public radio. maybe the folk album of the year

Authenticly Awesome
author: Folk LifeI've seen these cats perform on the Sucarnochee Revue. They are funny in person. This CD captures their laid-back Southern Musicianship. They really are as much fun to listen to as anybody.Of course, Jacky Jack's been out there for a long time.My fave CD of Jack's is "Sentimental Southern Boy".

The most enjoyable C.D. of southern music this year.
author: South Oxford PressThe songs featured on this C.D. are "rediscovered" gems from the past like "I Get the Blues When it Rains";"Don't Rob Another Man's Castle"; "Cab Driver'; etc.Fuller and White do a magnificent job of interpretation. The concept is perfect for these old classic tunes. The two of them are recorded live just as if they were on a "Sumter County porch".Fred Newell adds a little sweetner with dobro, and mandolin on 4 or 5 songs. However, the natural, laid-back artistry of J. Burton and Jacky Jack is what makes this project shine.
