With over 3600 listeners a day since going online in 1999, Radio Free Abattoir is the most popular and longest-running dark alternative radio shows on the Internet.
"The Best of Radio Free Abattoir 2004" (SLAG RFA-CD01), the debut compilation CD from The SlagHuis & Radio Free Abattoir (RFA), features 18 of the best dark alternative artists to appear on the show last year. All selections were personally picked by RFA's founder, longtime UK & US gothic club DJ Sam Bradford ('SamSam').
Like the RFA web casts, the artists appearing on this CD are from throughout the US, Europe & beyond. The genres range from gothic to Darkwave, from industrial to babydoll punk, and more. Each song represents the best track from the most exciting artists to be found on RFA. This is without a doubt the finest dark alternative compilation to be released in many years, if not ever.
Highlights include Collide, Scary Bitches, Ikon, Living with Eating Disorders & Kuma. The CD also features previously un-released tracks from Miss T & the Japanese Tourists, Razor Blade Kisses and Into the Fray.
