From the start I (Joseph Lea) have always wanted to be something muscially. I couldn't stand the fact that listening was the only action I could take. I was very young and with no funds of my own, I begged for a guitar (from my parents, not on the streets...). I found myself stumbling upon a half-sized guitar. I didn't know what to do, or how to do it, yet I did it. I Played songs with no meanings and riffs with no change.
I realized that songs can change your outlook on life. As I type this biography right now I am affected by the song that is playing in the background. The soothing slowness of The Weepies has caused me to reflect and write something that is going to come out as a life altering experience.
To be blunt, I love music. I love playing music, listening, and more than anything I love the joy of being able to record our songs. I find that as much as I try not to, our songs are written from life experiences. Every single song that is on my new album is something that I can relate to. Consider it more as a journal of sorrow, joy, love, and life.
Take what you can, and I hope you do take some as I have put it out there for all of you to enjoy. Let me know what you like even what you hate, either way I would like to know what your opinons are. Oh, and as Nesquick says (I think this is right...) "share the wealth," and tell a friend too - then you would be one of my favorite people.
