author: T'/ELWow a hidden Gem....What a nice CD by Dan Fogel,Tony Ventura and The Master Billy James. This CD has a great song selection so you'll listen in anticipation of each cut. Billy James is the Grand Master B-3 Drummer and part of only a hand full of the original masters of the B-3 movement still on the scene. This Cd captures some terrific work by Dan Fogel laying serious melodic and harmonic work over the tasty backdrop of Billy James. The addition of Tony Ventura's beautiful guitar work and sound makes this cd very satisfying to the soul. This performance captures nearly three different generations of Jazz tradition still going strong. A nice piece!

Dan Fogel is an incredible organ player!

I followed organists including Jimmy Smith, Don Patterson, Larry Young, and a host of others. I find this CD extremely innovative for the jazz organ genre through the years. Dan Fogel seems to be one playin' dude on the organ. I place him as one of the top jazz organists that I've ever heard. He also has his own original sound and yet you can hear that he was schooled by the masters. I highly recommend this CD for those who wish to hear an incredible organ player. A beautifully put together SWINGIN' CD! A must-have to complete any organ collection. Tina DeMarco
