An eclectic progressive-agressive psychedelic Jamband mixing rock, reggae, and funky grooves who blend the sounds of The Grateful Dead, Phish, and The Allman Brothers Band; a little bit of reggae, and a healthy dose of kick-ass.

notes
Hailing from the frosty shores of Lake Superior, Floydian Slip branch off from the "Jam Band" tradition pioneered by The Grateful Dead, Phish, and the Allman Brothers Band.
Combining the eclectic guitar and vocals of Andy Noyes, the hypnotic rhythms of drummer Jeff Kriner, the razor-sharp playing of guitarist and singer Olaf Kirsten, and the bone-shaking lines of bassist Marlin Ledin, Floydian Slip blend a sharp pop sensibility with serious improvisational abilities.
Sets move from well-crafted pop songs to extended improv jams to pulsating reggae and back again, often without stopping for air.
Songs become other songs on the fly, funk becomes reggae becomes rock becomes dub becomes jazzy blues becomes something entirely new, and a concert or dance becomes an event.
Going to see Floydian Slip play is more than just going out to hear a band-it's a commitment to join the players on a musical journey.
Floydian Slip shows often feature audience members dancing onstage with the band, band members playing on the dance floor, and everyone involved throwing themselves completely into the experience.
In a theatre, in a bar, in a coffeehouse, at a college dance, or at an outdoor festival, Floydian Slip must be heard-and experienced- to be believed.

Insightful songs
author: Andrew KempWell writen, and tightly performed cd. All performers are able to show their tallent, and I especially liked Big Lake, it reminds me of living on Lake Superior. Different from their live cd's, yet it is still very dancable. It is a step to greater things.
