(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

One of the Northwest's most prolific and successful independent rock bands to date, Floater's newest release is thematically ordered on the subject of change.

notes

For the production of “Alter” Floater hid themselves away in the woods on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon to write one of their finest releases. Combining the bands strongest musical elements, "Alter" moves fluidly from heavy riffs to lullabies and tells flowing stories of fear, love and above all change.
Bringing in Andy Banton and D.A.X. to help shape the soundscape, “Alter” took on a life of its own. Climbing to nerve shattering peaks and falling into the murky depths of despair, this album does it all with the traditional feel of Floater.

This one portends the coming change in direction on Acoustics (Hollywood especially), but it's still got that rocking Floater feel to it. The sample work on this one is really awesome as well. Let's just face it......Floater RULES!!!

  • Just amazing

This cd is just spectacular and really shows the sophistication and songwriting skills of Floater. Every song on this cd is a hit i think, and the cd over all is just spectacular from beginning to end. I highly recommend this cd.

  • Another Gem
    author: Ken M

This newest release is truely another gem from this great band. Zero Hour's intro blows my mind every time i hear it. Alone has an awsome flow it it. while diamond is just a damn nice tune to jam to. Anyone who buys this is in for a damn good treat. Make sure you pick up their other albums as well. Glyph is a true modern masterpiece.
