notes

Realed In, is the debut cd of Fishhook - sound like a band name? It's not, at least not yet a "band". Fishhook is the registered trademark of Joanie Ashelford. Fishhook came about when singer/songwriter Joe Poublon asked Joanie to sing some of his songs he felt God had given him. Thus, Fishhook was born. We came up with the title "Realed In" (a play on words), because we want to "reel in" people for Jesus, and we want Jesus to be "real" to people. The name "Fishhook" came from the Old Testament book of Job, in particular Chapter 41 verse 1.

Track #3 on the cd titled "Chasing the wind" quickly climbed to the top twenty of the Country Christian Music Charts. All the musicians who play on this cd are totally awesome and were fun to work with.

On drums and percussion is an extremely talented and versatile musician - Matthew Moore who is also the Executive Producer.

Tim Moore our Sound Engineer, also a talented and gifted musician played the mandolin, organ and bass.

Mike Disanti on acoustic and electric guitar. His guitar skills took Fishhook music to the next level up.

Joe Poublon singer/songwriter on acoustic guitar and background vocals. A gifted musician who doesn't give himself enough credit.

Brad Rabuchin on electric guitar. Played with Ray Charles. A gifted musician who's talents really gave "Chasing the wind" that extra edginess.

Dustin Morgan - talented musician who really cranked on the bass.

Carlyn Obringer-Gerdes - a gifted pianist who's keyboard work enriched the sound of Fishhook.

Joanie Ashelford - lead/background vocals, singer/songwriter, has been singing for what seems to be a very, very long time. Plays accordian and guitar (but not on this cd though).

Our hope is that Realed In ministers to you too, like it has for so many already!

The songs were great....my favorite is 'My Request' - it send tears to my eyes!

  • Sweet, full of variety, can’t separate the singer from the song.

Sweet, full of variety, can’t separate the singer from the song, what you hear is what you get which is a lot of careful studio work by a lot of skillful vocalists, musicians and engineering. The tune with the St. Timothy choir of Los Angeles directed by Mr. Frank Eceverry is awesome.
