    This album is my favorite Sarah Fimm album so far! It is raw, uninhabited and beautiful. SHe is truly unique in sound and I adore her lyrics. I would tell everyone to buy all the albums, they are all amazing!

    Truly a brilliant contrast of sounds, words, colors, and emotions; wrapped up in a multi textured realm of wonders and array of melodic passion. I dare not compare S. Fimm to any other artist for she is as spectacular as the best of them. She created not only an unbelievable sound, but a new niche in the spectrum in composition. This CD is so powerful That it left me drained emotionally, how she dose it is a true wonder. I down loaded the three original demos that I believe were on MP3.com or one of those sites and said this shtuff rocks, and hoped that an artist this talented wouldn’t give up or be shelved by a label. Later I found the long awaited LP Cocooned was released then A Perfect Dream and on 10/5/04 NEXUS. Please if you like good music BUY THIS CD you will not be disappointed, it will amaze you, and you will be ordering the other CD’s by the second song. In all aspects Sarah Fimm is a true beautiful artist. And Cocconed was a work of art. Thank you Sarah Fimm!

    When I first received this cd I was amazed. This cd is great I recommend it to everyone. Never judge a book by its cover. You have to hear it to believe how much explosive energy comes out when you listen. As an artist myself I appreciate the energy I hear, which I use in the darkroom and the studio.     i bought cocooned because i heard that sarah fimm was like tori amos. when i listened to the cd i immediately loved it particularly songs like after the blue, red paper bag, vahalla, and bombay cafe. sarah is remarkable! she is able to write the most tormented love song, while she can also scream and express her misery artistically. i love sarah fimm! everyone should purchase her cd; not only those who like tori amos's music, but just good music in general.

    I have a certain appreciation for artists who can capture the spirit of true unadulterated angst, and release it into music form. That is precisely what Sarah Fimm has done with this album. She exhibits a brave outpouring of emotion: raw, yet sweet...and sets it beautifully against the strings, piano, and electronic undercurrents. A purely haunting album that everyone must have!!!

    Cocooned is absolute, perfect, beautiful, stunning, wonderful, magic in CD form... Blew my mind away just two seconds after starting the CD and I had to listen to it two times straight through just to get out of my seat and get food for dinner. I am still in a daze... Valhalla is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard and will ever hear, a true magical six minutes and twenty seconds... I can't wait to hear the new material... I recomend this CD to anyone and everyone, no matter what music you like... Doesn't get much better than this. Keep up the great work Sarah!

    Just checked out the CD from Sarah Fimm "Cocooned", very cool. I love what's going on with this singer/songwriter. Twisted, demented, tormented, beautiful, kind, small, decayed, alive, celebrated, cherish, strong, wise to the lies, talented and watch out. I love her website and the name of the album "Cocooned". I Hear many influences in the music, but Sarah is unique in her style and approach. A must for your collection.

    I would like to put a copy of this cd in everyone's mailbox because people this talented should be known by all...no more of this britney spears shallowness. this album has a soul to it. Red Paper Bag in particular is one of those songs that i put on repeat. i don't think this beautifully mesmerizing example of ear candy will come out of the cd player anytime soon! If your up for something refreshing, by this CD!!

    I just happened across Sarah Fimm searching for new music on the net. WOW! Her music has such depth and has so many wonderful layers!!! One of my favorite songs is After The Blue. Why? Well, I'll tell ya. When I first listen to it, I get this fuzzy, warm feeling like I do when I listen to the Cure's "In Your House" and "At Night" (though it sounds nothing like those songs. I'm going on the feeling here, OK!?). Kinda like a ostinado, repeating drum "loop". Real hypnotic. I love stuff like that!!!!! Sexual Animals: real provocative with strong, "in your face", cool, sleazy giutar during the chorus. And lyrical content? Very sophisticated and sensual and, well Sarah, if you're ever in Macon Georgia, ................

    This CD is a piece of art, not just another CD you stick in the player from time to time. Sarah Fimm is a sweet heart and her voice on this cd is amazing. There is a song called Sets Us Apart on this CD, it is worth the money on its own. But we are all lucky there is more. Keep playing Sarah Fimm.

    I don't remember how I stumbled upon this CD, thank Heaven for happy accidents I suppose... or curse Hell for confronting me with some of the most profound, thought-provoking lyrics I've heard in quite awhile -- What?? Music that makes me THINK... Oh, my aching head! When I first heard the sample of Red Paper Bag on Sarah Fimm's website I immediately lumped her with the Sarah McLachlan sound-a-likes. By the time I got to Sexual Animals I realized that Fimm's music would make McLachlan hide under her bed. Yes, Sarah Fimm's music can be romantic (Valhalla) but I sense a truer feeling behind the music when she screams her troubled soul free of torment. Why else would the first two tracks be Scream and Sexual Animals? These two songs will make a first and lasting impression on any listener. The piano work is melodic, skillful and will absolutely remind you of Tori Amos. Lyrics are a cross between Amos and McLachlan, along with some of Alanis Morrisette's better work. I could definitely see these ladies down at the pub sharing a brew. I think Amos and Fimm would have much to discuss and compare, while Alanis and McLachlan might be more hesitant to join in... they'd be afraid to sing about some of the stuff Sarah Fimm shares with us. I'm going to enjoy this CD for a longtime, but can't wait to hear more.

    Sarah Fimm's music comes at you from so many angles, or is that angels? Cocooned is a rollercoaster of moods you can't help but relate to. I scream with her on the angst ridden "Scream." I Laugh with her on the quirky, eccentric, aural juxtaposition "Circus type thing." Without exception I cry with her during "Bombay Cafe," every time. During "Sexual Animals," well thats none of your business. The songs are beautiful, her piano playing is angelic, the band is tyte, and the production is smooth and innovative. I bought Sarah Fimm's Cocooned, and I will buy her next recording. I recommend you do the same.
