In 1952 I graduated from the Peabody Conservatory of Music and shortly after played in traveling bands and jazz groups around Baltimore.
During The 60's, I formed my own group, continued to write original music and arrangements, and performed in clubs and jazz concerts. Also I played many shows at the Playboy Club and other downtown venues featuring names such as Bob Hope, Johnny Carson, Sammy Davis Jr. From 1977 to 1984, I performed regularly with Balto. Symphony Orch. in pop concerts.
I am teaching at the Peabody Prep. and Essex Community College.
Much of my career has also consisted of solo playing in restaurants and hotels, with groups that I have assembled for jazz concerts, weddings, private parties, etc. and with a jazz quartet in schools.
The CD consists of original and standard jazz pieces with some of the outstanding musicians in the area.
