notes
Winner of City Beat "Album of the Year - 1998"
Rob is a member of The Bears and psychodots, as well as a commercial music composer. This is his first solo effort, and includes the members of those two bands on the sessions. Adrian Belew co-wrote two of the songs with Rob, and plays drums on several tracks.
"At his best here...a master at combining sharply drawn, incisive lyrics with irresistible pop melodies - plus the welcome addition of real heart. It's a winning combination."
- Larry Nager, Cincinnati Enquirer
"The CD still maintains the impertinence that makes for good rock 'n roll, punctuated by Fetters' cunning guitar. It is the most genuine, heartfelt rock album released by a local artist in years."
-Rick Bird, Cincinnati Post
"The accomplished guitarist's best work ever, ranking right alongside his top performances and songs from all his previous bands...dazzling, innovative guitar work"
- Mike Breen, City Beat
"I listened to the album and I'm really worried about Rob's mental state."
- Rob's big sister, Nan.

Sticky music. Cant get it loose!
author: CHAD GRAYBILLFull of little gems you'll be humming/whistling over and over like a silly little musical infection. The Raisins, Psychodots, Bears "maffia" are timeless!!

I've been a longtime fan of The Bears, The Dots, and Mr. Fetters, but just recently bought this cd. I have his newest disc, Musician, and can't stop listening to it. I actually prefer this disc now. Great voice, guitar, and songwriting - something that you only find in the "obscure" artist section. From the great opening track Try (co-written with Adrian Belew) to the humorous but true Career Move, this cd is definitely one please-a-poolooza! Wow!

I've been a huge fan of Rob Fetters through his many musical incarnations and this is purely amazing work - songwriting, guitar work, melodies, stories. It's the very best of artists who can do many things so well. I've never understood why everyone doesn't know who he is!!!!
The best you've never heard

If you're a Raisins fan this is a must have.
author: Ken FoutsI was thrilled to find a Rob Fetters solo work (even though it's a few years old). As an old Raisins fan, the music echos the excitement of the Raisins tunes with Rob's new twists and turns. Pick it up. It's worth the price of admission.
Better than expected
author: Steve B.This CD was a big surprise. I was always a big fan of Rob Fetters work in the Bears, Psychodots, etc however, it seemed to me that he had been saving his best work for his own album. So, great work with the Bears and excellent work with this solo effort. If I had to criticize something, it would be the shorter songs that seem like filler material.
Just what I expected, and that's a good thing
author: David BrightI love Rob's CD. I've been a fan of his various bands and his solo effort is exactly what I expected and wanted. Fun rock/hard pop songs with great hooks. His guitar solos are just so . . . happy with an added twist of quirk. Enjoy!
