notes
They are the well keepers of "Fast and Loose"
Pat Joe Birney and Lenny "Lee" Ackley. Their genesis, like a twinkle in the eye of the GROG MONSTER, sprung out of a neccessity to survive. Pat,while doing his revered and legendary solo act, needed a bass player and a drummer for an obscure Sunday night party in the bowels of the Bronx. The name of Lenny Lee,the famous bass player from the Richie Scarlet Band and Tommy V Show, just popped in.Lenny said "Sure,Let's Rock," and suggested his friend Tony C on tubs.As the three arrived at the Emerald City in the Blue Ghost in the pale moonlight,Lenny turned to Pat and said,"So what do we call this?" Pat,in an inspired moment of clarity, turned and proclaimed- "We'll play it fast and loose". so the name was set and the rest was magic.
The two became brothers--thick as thieves--soul mates--
wolves in sheeps clothing. The band soon took the city by night. The Bronx became their fortress, the stage was set and there was no turning back. The power duo soon expanded their borders upward and outward.Playing from Boston to Montauk they've been blacklisted from some of the finest bistro's
on the east coast.
So now we have the highly anticipated debut CD from the indefatigable "Fast and Loose".They've enlisted the talents of some of the finest players in the northeast. On guitar are Richie Scarlet(Ace Frehley,Leslie West,Sebastian Bach), Mark Hitt(Rat Race Choir),Greg DeBenedetto(associate publisher-Guitar World magazine),Frank Carillo(Peter Frampton)and Jim Walther(a co-writer on two of the CD's tunes). On drums:Steve "Budgie" Werner(Ace Frehley,Leslie West,Hey Baby),David Bond(Robert Palmer,Evelyn Champagne
King),Stuart Stahr(New Riders,Leslie Costa),Tony Wynn(Hoi Polloi)and Michael Ford(Richie Scarlet).Jim Haederle played
keys and wrote some of the orchestrations.
Pat and Lenny and this "rogues gallery" of heavyweights
have assembled a CD that has far exceeded even their own expectations. CHECK IT OUT!!!
Note: This CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at a "state of the art" recording studio and the disc was manufactured at
Discmakers and includes a 16 page booklet with lyrics,
credits, pictures etc. It is of the highest quality.

Thank you Fast and Loose!
author: KayoI LOVE this album. Pat's voice is so soft, warm and clear. Lenny and Pat are great singer/song writers. What a cool song "Al Fresco" is. And also other musicians are perfect in this album. This album makes you cry, makes you smile and makes you rock! This is a must have album for their fans, Todd Rundgren fans, Ace Frehley fans, and all pop rock fans! Thank you very much, Lenny and Pat. :)
A little bit hip, a little bit classic rock
author: D. McPhersonI've seen these guys in the Westchester area and am always impressed with their stage presence and talent. Their CD is just like thier shows- a little bit hip, a little bit classic rock. Great job guys!
