Forbidden Dimension is the title of Italian shred guitarist Francesco Fareri's second album, and it includes eight all instrumental tracks in the progressive/shred style. Fareri recruited some great players to contribute to the CD, including Kyle Honea (bass), Jon Doman (drums), Bob Katsionis (keyboard solos) and Vitalij Kuprij (piano, keyboards), and also enlisted the help andexperience of Greg Howe in the recording and engineering of the drum tracks. The amazing speed and fluidity that Fareri is known for is showcased on Forbidden Dimension, as well as some brilliant exchanges with the talented Katsionis. Doman has his moments to shine as well, as the extended length of the pieces (four over 9 minutes, two over 6 minutes) allow for all the instrumentalists to share the spotlight. Fareri writes, "Music is something unique and indefinite that each person can understand and feel in so many different ways. This album is my world, my love, my dedication, it is the mirror of myself and my mind, it is a part of me... it is my dimension... it is me."
