Falcon is a passionate musician whose playing ranges from dark and fiery to warm and romantic. His second release, Toreador, is the violinist/guitarist's latest musical adventure.
Falcon journeys into Spain, Brazil and American jazz with the 11 track undertaking.
Adventurous violin playing and compositions with great improvising by an incredible band.
Falcon is inspired by Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Pat Metheny, Jean Luc Ponty in his writing style and improvisations.

Promise To Tell
author: Music By Mail / Pierre TassoneThis is my first encounter with Ted Falcon and his music and this recording is a very honest one. From the first tune on you'll be taken away by an afro beat that will lead you to many different other things: some syncopated guitar lines reminding of Mc Laughlin's Mahavihnu, homages to the late Thomas Chapin or Miles, quiet ballads and much more. The compositions are solid and good stuff to study. On the down side and technically speaking I would have wished that some intonation problems be corrected. They take a bit of the pleasure.
Beautiful compositions, passionate playing,
author: Ken SummersI bought this CD a couple of weeks ago - the original compositions are incredible. The mix of jazz and world music gives this CD a feel that is not available on most mainstream jazz CDs, yet it stays true to the genre. Falcon's playing is in a class of its own - each song tells its own story. My personal favorite is I Remember Thomas Chapin, although White Sands comes in a close second. The CD is one that you can play over and over and hear differently every time - never boring. I look forward to hearing more from this new artist!
