    I don't know what CD Colleen was listening to, but this is one of the best relaxation and healing CD's I use in my practice. I think it's very like Constance Demby and Steve Roach's compositions. Brava Sue! I've heard these pieces on the radio as well! More like this collection, please? Thanks, Lynn

    It was very brief and I thought the disc had a blank spot initially until I realised it just stopped suddenly. This is not long enough for a typical healing session. Need at least 60 minutes. It sounds spooky at points. Not a pretty album.

  • A beautiful tapestry of ambient soundscapes

    I've listened to this album several times and each time the layers seem to penetrate deeper into every ounce of my being. Closing my eyes, I drift towards different parts of a colorful universe. Sue uses long, spatial sounds that seem to paint a canvas like a modern artist. Some of the music reminds of the atonal works of some pioneering 20th century composers such as Varese, Xenakis, Penderecki, and Boulez. The key to Sue's music is that there IS structure and form. This is music for the 21st century. Her use of tones do a good job accompanying the names of the stones that are listed in the liner notes. I also like the fact that the tracks are perfect lengths so healers can use this CD in a session. For people who are looking for music to relax or accompany a deep meditation this CD will be the perfect companion. Press play and let each track take you further into the world of deep ethereal harmonies and a real musical master.

    Spring of 2006 I made the choice to include new age music in my workshop presentations and felt drawn to Sue Esserwein's two newest CDs Colors of Light and Clouds in the Looking Glass. What I have observed when playing Sue's healing music softly in the background as workshop participants create and visit is they all love them! The first time I played these CDs they shared how relaxed listening to them made them feel. One thing I noticed they didn't want to leave three stayed just visiting through the second session. After playing these CDs for several workshops I soon became aware not only is this music helping participates to relax it frees some to release what needs releasing within their being; with some tears flow as they share their healing steps while others acknowledge their letting go of emotions of anger, fear and guilt.

    The Colors of Light: Music for Healing is truly a godsend! It's marvelous for meditation and for creating balance at the end of a long, stressful day. Within minutes I notice the changes in my breathing, my mind focuses on what is most important in the moment, and once again...I am centered. No doubt this music is spiritually channeled with love.
