notes
Mixing the naiveties of youth with the quick maturation of a rootin’ tootin’ rock show at a smoky bar, The Esperantos are the reason rock ‘n’ roll still lives REAL DETROIT WEEKLY "The Esperantos play a kind of Hives/Vines/Strokes garage rock, which is highlighted by excellent songwriting and uncharacteristically tight ensemble playing REVIEW MAGAZINE The Esperantos' sound is infectious, catchy garage rock. Guitarist Phil Roth, bassist Aaron Cianek, and drummer Joe Jacobs have made a name for themselves in the last year tearing up clubs in their hometown of Saginaw, Michigan, and now they are ready to take on the rest of the universe. The band recorded their debut album for Red Car Records with Boston producer Richard Marr.

After reviewing the CD I felt a hint of the Stooges, the swagger of the Yardbirds, and the witticism of the Kinks.

A refreshing blend of old school rock, a bit of Strokes vibe...a little hint of Rockpile......I believe something that might be too fresh for the typical moron music listener......witty lyrics....deceptively subversive....It just might be what's needed to shake up the stale underground scene.....
The power rock trio is alive and well.
author: Greg RothsteinIf the debut album of the Esperantos is not part of your collection, you've given up on rock and roll. This band reminds me of the best of Hendrix, Bowie and Cobain. One part pure power trio rock; one part glam; one part "my way or the highway," or more succintly "f**k off biatches." Buy it and listen.
This is great!
I am picking up a copy of this for sure
Prognosis
author: FuzzynormalWell then, that Prognosis song is pretty darn slick I must say. You guys tore it up. Impressive, very impressive.
