Great CD!I've seen them live as well and all I can say is wow! Amazing, the talent and work effort and heart these guys put into their music is incredible. Their stage presence is as cool and as intense as their music. Their influences range from country to rock to reggae to soul to blues and it is perfectly blended. The lyrics are just as good as the instruments, real, original, meaningful. Anyone can find a song they will like. Also, if you have a chance to see Equaleyes...do it! No excuses - just do it! peace
My Favorite New Band
author: Shannon WI love this CD! If you like bluesy rock music and lyrics that really take your mind and spirit to a great place, buy it! I don't care what you normally listen to, if you don't listen to this CD you are missing out! My top picks on this CD are Find My Way, Undetermined and Tomorrow. I can't wait for the next CD! Hurry!!
Killer new band
author: Robb Howell / Peace MachineThis band Equaleyes came to my attention via a colleague who saw the band live in a remote mountain village nightclub, where they blew the roof off the place. They subsequently gave my friend a demo CD, and he personally drove the CD to my house the next day. Needless to say I was blown away by the raw talent and musicianship of this young band. With supremely cool playing and well-crafted songs, Equaleyes gives a nod to some of the great jam bands of the 70's which showcased primo guitarists. They are unpretentious in their approach to playing simple yet mature modern rock music, while staying true to their roots and still being contemporary. I love this band and would give anything to get them in the studio for a serious record. A well produced album highlighting the songwriting skills of these great players would majorly put this band on the international map. I recommend anything they put out to lovers of concientious yet improvosational bluesy rock music. This band is excellent, and a refreshingly rare treat amidst the plethora of nonsensical follow-the-leader records of the day. Buy this CD!
