From the energy of Espresso to Go! and the haughtiness of Walk This Way to the cool of Cross Rhodes and Coolin’ the Breeze, to the seductive Nightcap and the gently awakening Sunday Macchiato, to the down-homey country riffs of Feelin’ Bluesy, this collection of café music takes the listener on a soundscape world tour of the café life.
Ambient Caffé is inspired by every café strip from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, New York and LA, to Roma, Lucca, Milano, Tropea and Taormina – anywhere that great coffee is served with style and attitude. Come, enjoy – the aroma, the beautiful people, the pretenders, the chic, the dags. This album is dedicated to all who enjoy the essence of the coffee bean, with attitude!
Location atmospheres recorded on the café strip in the port of Fremantle, Western Australia and in Italy. Recording and mixing began in Perth in 2005 and was completed at Energi Music’s Santa Barbara studio in September, 2006. (The composer drank way too much espresso!)
