Hi, my name is Emma...thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me!
I had my first piano lesson at the age of six, and as soon as I could make out a tune, I was writing my own songs.
For me, songwriting is about sharing my journey. So mostly my songs are very personal, about all the things that go on inside, behind all the facades and barriers that we put up. People tell me that my songs echo their own thoughts…I’m glad to know I’m not alone in what I go through!
So when you listen to my music, I hope it will make you think, it will make you ponder “the meaning of life”, it will make you smile. I hope you’ll play it over and over again and share it with your friends.
My influences include Missy Higgins, Delta Goodrem, Natalie Cole, George Gershwin, Brooke Fraser, Jars of Clay, Ben Lee, the John Butler Trio, Bach, Mozart and Miles Davis…
