notes
A Los Angeles native, Emily Arin migrated to upstate New York last summer to settle into small town living for a while--and to carve out more time for songwriting and performing. She is currently wrapping up her second New Music Subscription series which entails writing and recording one new song per month for subscribers on her website. The album "Time and Space" is the culmination of her first Subscription Series which took place from June 2006 through May 2007.
The Ithaca Journal has published an annual musician's survey for the past ten years in which Jim Catalano has "polled many of the movers and shakers in the local music scene with three questions: 1) What was your personal musical highlight for 2007? 2) What was the best CD you heard (locally and/or nationally) in 2007? 3) What are you most looking forward to musically in 2008?" In response to the second question, Gordon Rowland of The Common Railers highlighted "Time and Space" as one of his favorite new CDs in 2007.

heartfelt music
author: AnneAlbrechtEmily Arin's album "Time and Space" is truly from the heart. Some of the songs are courageous expressions of emotions that most keep private and under locks and some of the songs are playful and spirited and lift your heart. Her sweet voice is soothing, the melodies are beautiful and people of all walks perk up when they hear it and ask: "what is that pleasant music you're playing?"
