MC ChANGE BIO
The only thing constant and guaranteed in this world is change. Its always happening whether we like it or not. Revolution is Change. It is not something that's far off in the distance. Its occurring at all times in all places physically, spiritually, and mentally. It is everything in a state of transition and transformation.
Introducing MC ChANGE; a barrio lyricist born and raised in California's central Valley. Since then, MC ChANGE has lived in many parts of Cali from San Diego to the Bay Area embodying west coast culture while maintaining his global indigenous roots.
He grew up listening, but not limited to Chicano rap. Listening and learning from the likes of Cypress Hill, Proper Dos, Lighter Shade of Brown, Kid Frost and others that validated his experiences and what he witnessed all around him. Zack de la Rocha (frontman for band Rage Against The Machine) was also a big influence in MC ChANGE music. He states; "Zack took our barrio stories and related them on the global level. He showed us that poor people which are mostly brown and black people were connected in a lot of ways. He was the first to shed light on indigenous issues and how governments and corporations are attempting to globalize cultures and ways of thought." Unfortunately MC ChANGE didn't have access to that music at a young age saying "We could only afford the dollar tapes at the flea market and the radio which played mostly party and gangster rap. Ive always wanted to bridge that gap and give the streets access to that type of global knowledge that connects and builds instead of dividing and destroying."
MC ChANGE is now in a position to take the space these artists have created and expand on that experience. He's been able to cross over because of those artists who broke boundaries between communities of class and color. He has stated "it is my responsibility to reach all audiences interested in good music, and I have been successful in doing so thus far. I don't want people to forget that there's a lot of style and class in the barrios despite our horrid living conditions". It is his philosophy of "Estilo" (meaning style). He says; "Im putting our style back into my revolutionary rooted music. I refuse to let other's define and co-opt what it means to be revolutionary. This is how we dress, walk, talk and act so embrace it and lets work together to bring the system down."
As the front man for the Bay Area band "PARA LA GENTE" (for the people), MC ChANGE has shared the ticket with the likes of Immortal Technique, The Pharcyde, Aztlan Underground, Planet Asia, Living Legends Aesop Rock, Crown City Rockers, Zion I, Maria Fatal, Dubwise, and many more traveling and performing in and around the West Coast. He has showed and proved himself in open mics from Davis to D.C. Refusing to let musical borders define him or his audience, MC ChANGE has performed in Night Clubs, Anti-War Rally's, neighborhood benefits, and all audiences that love good hip-hop. With three successful mixtape albums; "Almost a Revolutionary Vol 1" (2005), "I Remember" (2006), and "Semillas" (2007) and a successful studio e.p. "Para La Gente's Hurricane America" (2006), He continues to work at bringing rebel music to audiences from all walks of life. A lyricist that remembers the past and embraces the new, MC ChANGE will transform the way most think about barrio hip-hop as we all transition into a new culture of rebel music.

I hear Sincerity and Seriousness with a hint of Softness, a combination that comes from strong roots. The tracks offer the stimulation of his own change and the motivation to make our own. A rhythm and message that resonates through every limb, something that makes you move for every positive reason.
