notes
Winner of both an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award and a Parents Choice Award, here's an album of old and new folk songs for children and their families that will become a favorite for riding in the car, getting ready for bed, or anytime that's right for singing, dancing or listening together.
Ellen sweetly weaves American folk traditions into this lively collection included in many children's libraries and early childhood classrooms. A seasoned teacher, songwriter and performer, Ellen's style warms and engages kids and grown-ups alike with guitar, banjo, autoharp, mountain dulcimer and delightful harmonies.
"What a lovely recording! I'm going to recommend it to all my friend's with kids......" Jean Ritchie

author: Dr. Jerry GranerGreat songs, simple, entertaining, easy listening and nice guitar and banjo backup. Ellen Edson's voice is perfect for children's songs. Grandson amd granddaughter both love listening to it. ...and me, I loved it too!
Family Fare
author: Vicki TherienExcellent CD! I have now purchased three of these CD's. One for each of my children when they were born (now ages 16 years, 15years, and 20 months old). It is a must have CD. We listen to it everyday, and it never grows old. I also use the music CD in my preschool classroom (I am a teacher at the University of Massachussetts). The children love it. I have been lucky enough to have met and worked with Ellen Edson in my past teaching experiences and the CD is every bit as nice as listening to her sing in person.
Real music for your little ones
author: Valerie RoseTired of those banal, synthesized, & overproduced children's CDs? You and your little ones will love this CD from Ellen Edson. It features acoustic instruments played in toe-tapping Old-Time style by musicians clearly at home in their genre, topped by Ellen's sweet & laid-back vocals. My 2-year-old daughter requests "What Shall We Do With The Baby-O" on our car rides.
