Ricardo Pellegrin El Kady, born in Guinea-Bissau,
is a direct lineage of the famous Pellegrin family
from St Louis - Senegal
and his family is originating from
Cape-Verde and Portugal.
His partner, the author, pianist and singer Sami,
is originating from Haiti.
In April 08: El KadySami received an "Honorable Mention" Award from "Song of the Year" Dec.07 - USA

Very creative world music CD. Pick up a copy!

No two songs are alike, offering listeners a refreshing concoction of jazz, folk., African-beat and Latin flavor. Hailing multi-lingual appeal, “Organico” displays some amazing instrumentation, including everything from beautiful jazz pianos and guitars to traditional Latin and African percussion. All of the singers on this CD are exceptionally talented and deliver enchanting performances! “I’ll Show You” serves as insight into El KadySami’s innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements, while introducing a clever lead whistling melody. Moreover, these lyrics are very uplifting and encouraging. Finished with great production, every fan of Latin and World music should give this album a listen!
