notes
If you purchase 'Breakfast with Chopin', you will receive a link to download a free copy of 'Ordinary Life' from Elly's 'Like Water'..
Elizaveta grew up in Moscow, Russia, playing Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and, of course, Chopin.
Breakfast with Chopin, the title track, Snapshot, as well as Mariner's Song are based on three of her favorite Chopin's waltzes.
Lullaby for E is her take on Beethoven's "Fur Elise".
Storyteller, its sublime string arrangements notwithstanding, is an all-original tune by Elizaveta.
Kite, the most classical-sounding track on the EP, is Elly on piano dueting with Caroline Campbell on violin. It's her collaboration with Tchaikovsky on his April, from 'Seasons of the Year' piano cycle.
This is an audiophile quality CD mixed produced by Oren Hadar and mixed by Sheldon Gomberg.
NEWS!: Elly's 'Like Water' EP has been released on iTunes!
Elizaveta is currently recording her piano & voice album and will also release an all-Russian CD.
JULY 2008 UPDATE: 'Breakfast with Chopin' is going to be used as the name for Elizaveta's stand-alone project, featuring her classical-crossover work and operatic vocals.

Wonderous stuff
author: StefanIf you'd like to be taken to another place, leave the boredom of today's hectic lifestyle, and sink into a time and place of yesterday, this is one hell of a vehicle for that. You'll find yourself in a saloon of 1900th century France, where a pianist and some strings plays beautiful music. But wait, something is not quite right, there's a twist to it that mark this as something of the future. A pop sensibility that - although present in the melodies of Chopin and Tchaikovsky - is foreign for the expressive vocabulary of the time. This naive hybrid results in some beautiful fairy tales that gently soothes you into the calmness of a colorful daydream...
This is Good Listening
author: boscovenaBut I want it longer. EPs are the way of this time-crunch, sound bite generation. It's so lovely I cant wait to get a full length from this artist. I love all of the tracks, especially "Storyteller" and "Mariner's Song" The artwork is really beautiful too. Glad I opted to buy it, rather than download.
Amazing..
author: Nicholevoice, piano, everything was absolutely amazing. Such an amazing artist. I hope to hear more!

une vraie bouffée d'oxygène, de la poésie, de la légèreté, quel talent
author: PiotrElizaveta - "Breakfast with Chopin"
author: Rupert HineThe combination of voice, piano and string quartet on tracks like "Snapshot", "Storyteller" and the title track "Breakfast with Chopin" evoke an 18th century Suzanne Vega emerging through the portals of Regina Spektor and Kate Havnevik only to arrive directly in front of us like an innocent child staring us in the eye with humour and truth. Breakfast with Chopin is a warm sonic bath. Elizaveta is in a class of her own. Do not miss her. (Rupert Hine - April 2007. Full review on elizaveta.net)
Elizaveta - A Unique Musical Experience
author: Bill SnodgrassBreakfast With Chopin is the musical equivalent of all that is good about a fanciful daydream. One part whimsy, one part profundity, another part classical, another jazz. It's a pretty girl capering barefoot on a sunny beach, taunting the waves to touch her, but dancing just out of reach at the last moment. It's a stroll, hand in hand with a loved one, through cobblestoned streets of an Italian village. It defies being pigeon-holed into traditional classifications! This is music that will move you, that will stir you, that will reach you in places you have forgotten and make you smile. It's a dear old friend returning from a distant journey, changed, improved, but still recognizable. It's gazing dreamy-eyed over a little table in a Paris sidewalk cafe. It's fond thoughts brought back by old photographs. It's... Ah, just listen to it for yourself!
SIMPLY BREATHTAKING THANK YOU
author: ROD BANKSTO HAVE BREAKFAST WITH CHOPIN AND ELIZAVETA, NOW THATS WHAT I CALL SUBLIME
great! =D
author: marinathis cd is a wonderful and unique blend of classical and modern music. the songwriting could be better, but it's still impressive for someone whose first language is not english.
Simply Brilliant
author: DIYElizaveta is one of the greatest unknown talents the world has yet to hear. She has a beautiful gift for blending classical music with modern pop...and "Breakfast with Chopin" is small taste of her entire catalog of tunes. It's a thought provoking, charming and sexual odyssey that you must indulge in.
Brilliant!
author: Richard DavisInventive and original this is a truly outstanding piece of work.

Breakfast with Chopin is a beautiful CD. I love the artwork both inside and out and each and every song. The recording is excellent and the lyrics and music are wonderful. I purchased the CD direct from E's website and received an autographed copy. It is something that I will always treasure. Get this CD!! I promise you will not be disappointed. I can't wait for more Elizaveta:)
Elizaveta is the most gentlest of forces of beauty, aesthetics and joy.
author: larry jaffeI love this CD. I have waited for a while for it to be available having listened to some of her songs on myspace. the music on the CD is a joy to behold... it warms the heart and soul. it just makes me feel good.
inspirational!
author: isabelThe lyrics are have such fun imagery... they're like clouds off the tongue! On a more serious note, every lyric is carried with such grace and depth - and the piano, in one word: hypnotic. Loving the violin accompaniment here and there, too. When I listen to this CD with my eyes closed, it's as if I've been carried into the calm of a storm. I foresee a great following, especially when she comes out with more. I'm really looking forward to that!

I want more. I am not used to playing the same CD over and over, wishing for more. Why are there only 6 songs??? I am not REALLY complaning, I am just hoping she will make a full length CD --soon!-- The audio quality is amazing, the artwork is beautiful and full of detail and now I want a signed copy so I am going to have to buy another one from her website. I am sounding cheezy, but, well, there you have it.
Amazing
author: Chopin loverBeautiful songs, amazingly original and the artwork is so delicate and atmospheric that the package as a whole is like spanning a time gap, both classic and modern at the same time. Wonderful. I bought my copy as soon as it came out.
I love this CD.
author: Mark AudryThere is an originality here which transcends the fact that it's based on classical material. Storyteller is an all-original track from what I have found out - and it is my favorite. Lullaby for E is riveting. I am getting copies for 2 more of my friends.
Wow
author: MelliHoly crap. Never heard anything quite like it, and for a music lover that's quite a confession. beautiful.
