What has the press been saying?
ABOUT THE ALBUM:
"An incredible work of artistic accomplishment...the Cd shows all the ranges, styles, and in a word, versatility of this seasoned entertainer, and gives an insight into the depth of the person creating the sounds." Carol Elliott, Entertaining U Magazine, Jacksonville, Florida
"I was immeasurably impressed by this album. From the production, to Roth's Guitar and voice, to the instrumental arrangements, to the songwriting; it is wonderfully done." Rick de Yampert, Daytona Beach News-Journal
"Roth weaves simple acoustic tunes that disarm the listener...."like the david" calls to mind the work of Harry Chapin or of Joni Mitchell..." John Citrone, Folio Weekly Magazine, Jacksonville, Florida
" Finally, area singer/songwriter Elizabeth Roth has released an eclectic collection of songs called like the david. Roth sings like a darker Carly Simon....like the david contains passing moments of beauty and lasting moments of Gothic (like an empty Georgian house, not like a pasty faced rocker)atmosphere. Interesting stuff..." Rick Marino, entertainment writer, Florida Times Union
"Roth 's songs range from jazzy lightly funky works akin to Norah Jones and Ricky Lee Jones, to ballads and folkie songs like Tracy Chapman and Phoebe Snow..." Rick de Yampert, Daytona Beach News-Journal
ABOUT ELIZABETH:
"Her voice is one you remember......it soars, spirals, rocks, drops, calls to a lover, tells a story, growls the blues, cries. If Gamble Rogers and Phoebe Snow had a love child, and that baby was raised by Tracy Chapman, it might sound like this woman." Peter Guinta, staff writer, Saint Augustine Record
"a hauntingly cerebral, yet romantic clarity" Marcia Armes, St. Augustine Magazine

Thoughtful, well-written songs that mean something.
author: David YoungI've listend to this quite a bit and find something new each time. Intelligent lyrics and well-crafted hooks to sing along with. Elizabeth is a great songwriter and musician. My favorite song this week is Great Big World, which just speaks to me. I bought this at one of her shows and it was worth every penny I paid. Give it a listen and if you like it, buy it.
The "Surprise of the New" Returns
author: Michael HawthorneListening to Elizabeth Roth's like the david recalls the days you came across modern folk music by adventurous singer-songwriters you would love forever. Roth's voice and guitar are front and centered, anchoring the wonderful varied arrangements - touches of jazz and classical are welcome surprises. The lyrics have universal themes that Roth personalize, share and you experience. This highly recommended recording is confident storytelling at its best!
Her vocals and guitar work are outstanding on every song
author: Brenda DavidI put Elizabeth's cd into the player a few days ago and I can't stop listening. I thought that "Useless" was my favorite but now every time I listen I find a new favorite. Each and every song is unique and yet distinctly Elizabeth. Her vocals and guitar work are outstanding on every song and the musical additions of stellar players such as Nancy Cohan on cello and Chris Norton on trumpet just serve to make her own work shine brighter. This cd has been added to my favorites

Wonderful collection of tunes and a performance to put a smile on your face.
author: Joseph DeClementeA fine selection of songs, all having a positive outlook on the world. Elizabeth's voice and guitar playing are terrific, and are only made more interesting by the introduction of strings and brass. Best cuts: Anniversary Song and Watching as We Die.
Interesting, unconventional, carefully crafted acoustic rock.
