Eliza Facts:

ELIZA NEALS is an outstanding emerging female artist on the independent east coast music scene. Moving recently from her home town of Detroit to New York City, Eliza has lifted audiences and sold out the best rooms including Joe's Pub, Cutting Room, Knitting Factory and the Bitter End.

Her last album "No Frogs for Snakes," exposes Eliza's talents for deeply romantic, almost obsessive ballads with rompy rocky anthems and blues riffed out tracks. Co-writing with Barrett Strong the Motown legend on "No Frogs for Snakes" and "liquorfoot" her last album, she produced a sound thats unparalleled in female Rock n Roll today.

Starting out listening to Etta James, Motown, Classic Rock and P-Funk, Eliza in her pre-teens began writing after meeting Bootsy Collins in a Detroit Record store. Eliza's musical ear, piano skills and god given voice took her on a journey that gained her a degree in Opera from Wayne State University in Detroit. Meanwhile, Detroit rock emerged as her direction, being a young vibrant female vocalist, who felt the calling to express herself through rock and blues. Locally, Eliza strived to perform and write with the best Detroit had to offer. She graced every venue with powerful vocals, charisma and a deep connection with the audience.

Fast forward to the chaos of 2008. After the passing of her father and a relocation to New York City where her pursuit of singing, touring and writing for a bigger audience conceived "No Frogs for Snakes" to sold out live shows. The City honed Eliza's unique sound with new energy, honesty, integrity and passion. Eliza's vocals and her band deliver a sound beyond your expectations of what live music is today!
