Seeeeeriously funky soul. An incredibly fun record with bouncy beats and delicious harmonies.
Edable Gray entered the renowned Normandy Sound recording studio in August 1998 to record their sophomore album entitled Songs from M.A.R.S (M.A.R.S serves as an acronym for the band members initials).
This time the band chose veteran producer Marisa Dery, a graduate of Berklee College of Music and the head Mastering Engineer at Tape Complex in Boston, to produce the album.
The album features distinguished musicians, such as, The Vine Street Horns (the horn section for Aretha Franklin, Phil Collins, Maceo Parker, and featured artists on the Mambo Kings soundtrack etc...),Don Puluse-engineer for Chicago, and Jamie Locke-sound/mixing engineer of six gold records.
The songs on Edable Gray's new album "Songs From M.A.R.S", is representative of the core of who and what Edable Gray are a combination of six distinct personalities and styles.
Highly recommended!

author: Ali BrownHaving only heard their debut album, and owning it, I think these guys are phenomenal. I've only seen them once, when they opened for BUOS way back when, and they rocked. They had the whole crowd up and on their feet, and that's no exaggeration. I am in the process of getting their new cd, and I can already tell ya I know it's gonna be awesome. Check these guys out, you won't be disappointed.
