An inspired blend of amazing guitar based music; Expanded Improvisational Plutonium is truly a concept album for the existential listener. Written through the aspect of the guitarist, Expanded Improvisational Plutonium takes the listener on a musical journey via the notes, sounds and vibe of the music. Each individual song is unique yet is the basis for the next track to follow and so on. Guitarist Eric Cordova Maroscher allows each song breathe and reach its fully unfurled state by allowing them to flow often into eight, nine and ten minute pieces of music. Eric Cordova Maroscher is a guitarist whose music does not easily fit within a convenient category. It is safe to say that both the guitar and music lover will find solace in his solely unique style. It is this unique style of guitar playing that his listeners embrace, as his guitar playing serves to create music for the true music lover. Eric’s guitar centered music is refreshing, inspiring, new and meaningful. Expanded Improvisational Plutonium is unique to itself and has a sound all its own while simultaneously be unmistakably Maroscher’s stand alone sound. If Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, Ry Cooter, Bella Fleck or Edward Van Halen were guest guitarists/musicians on your favorite artist’s album, although not playing their own music, each of these musicians has such a style unique to themselves that they are unmistakable regardless of whose song they were playing on. In the same way, Eric’s style stands alone. All of his songs are different, yet they are all unmistakably his be it via his trip-hammer double picking, use of warm tones or the meaningful brush strokes of his acoustic music which he uses to paint the canvas that is his musical artistry. Listen to the track Ibityzip, and you will see what we mean by wonderfully not easy to categorize. If your consciousness affects the behavior of subatomic particles, ala Quantum Physics, the music you listen to can have an affect on your behavior, thus your subatomic particles. Expanded Improvisational Plutonium was written to put the listener into a wonderfully positive state of mind through the world of the guitar based music, thus having a positive impact on that person’s behavior and so forth. Each song on this album and her sister album Expanded Improvisational Plutonium II tells a story. Be it the love story of the Earth and Moon as told through Orbiter Love or the too much spicy pizza before bed inspired dream, Legba’s Pasta, Eric Cordova Maroscher tells eight different and unique stories through the voice of the guitar, bass, percussion and recording studio. Trust us when we tell you to put your head phones on, or sit in between the speakers for this one, as the mix is rich with subtle gifts for the listener. Eric’s diversity of playing can be experienced through his recordings which range from inspired electric guitar driven music which can be heard on the Expanded Improvisational Plutonium I and II albums, his all nylon-string acoustic album titled The Last Flower To Bloom, his meticulously written acoustic steel-string album titled The Agarbatti Album and his neo-jazz based Vibes album.
