DWIGHT KENNEDY, singer, guitarist, and drummer, is the leader of Los Angeles's premiere swing band, Le Jazz Hot. One of the finest and most energetic bandleaders of today, he has performed at events worldwide as well as on television and film. He is known for his enthusiastic style, upbeat, infectiously energetic performances and sophisticated arrangements of classic compositions by the masters of great music.
Dwight Kennedy’s style has been compared a wide array of stars such as Frank Sinatra, Brian Setzer, Harry Connick, Jr., Louis Armstrong, Gene Krupa and Louis Prima. His amazing talents are displayed in his live performances (over 350 per year!) where he has stunned audiences with his drumming, singing, banjo and guitar skills as well as a full range of comedy.

When he is not performing with his band, he is constantly producing bands, vocalists and shows worldwide. His acting skills have led to parts on shows such as The Gilmore Girls, Friends, The Drew Carey Show, Veronica’s Closet and the hit film comedy Wedding Crasher’s.
Dwight formed Le Jazz Hot in 1986 and has since performed at thousands of events worldwide. Dwight honed his craft of entertaining by performing at Universal Studios (where he still leads the house band) and Disneyland, bringing his music and talents to people from all over the world.
Dwight has appeared at jazz festivals worldwide as a featured drummer, banjoist, guitarist and vocalist with many classic jazz artists. He studied music at Duquesne University, UCLA and the Grove Conservatory of Music. After graduation, he immediately began writing music for many television shows and films. His interest in the business side of music led Dwight to stints at RKO Films and MGM where he worked in the music departments. From there, he launched Dwight Kennedy Productions, where he became a consultant to virtually every major film and television studio in Los Angeles as a music director, producer, writer and arranger producing music for many mediums.
Before starting his own band, Dwight worked with many top acts as a musician. An accomplished actor and comedian with many film and television credits, he has also served as master of ceremonies at many special events. Dwight always says that he has the greatest job in the world because he gets to play classic music, with fine musicians and make people happy. He has been playing music for many years with his band, with great success, and always looks forward to his next performance.
Dwight is currently working on a new album with his band.
