September 11th Benefit Concert!!

After the events of September 11th, saxophonists/musician/writer, Joey Dundore, graduate from Berklee College of Music with a Professional Music Degree, Magna Cum Laude, had to do something about the pain he felt in his heart. So he did the only thing he knew how to do, picked up his saxophone and pencil, and wrote an album's worth of patriotic music.

He contacted his local high school, Penn Manor High School, his alma mater, and inquired about an idea to hold a benefit concert so that he could raise money from those who attended the concert and also use it to serve as a host to the CDs he was going to make in a professional recording studio. After talking with the school's principal and super intendent, receiving full cooperation to display the benefit concert, Joey set out to write many patriotic songs, put a band together and produce his vision of his very own benefit concert.

The benefit concert, presented on May 9th was a complete success and was highlighted in three local newspapers and a television newscast. Raising money for various humanity groups for the victims of September 11th.

T-shirts, posters, video tapes, programs and CDs were also sold, and are still available by contacting Joey Dundore at JoeyDSax1@aol.com.
