notes
Deeder Skeeder and the Tadpole seeders is the brainchild of singer songwriter Dieter Wachtel. Immigrating to this country from a small German town at 5 years old and growing up in Salt Lake City Utah was a culture shock to say the least.
Musical influcenes came from the british Invasion of the 60’s and 70’s and also the local Bluegrass and country bands.
Dieter started out playing drums for local rock, country, and blues bands throughout the seventies and eighties.Through the many bands and years of playing he also learned Guitar, keyboards, electric bass, harmonica, and mandolin which he plays all of on the CD . His career now spans stints in Bluegrass bands, top forty bands, oldies rock, Country, and dinner jazz bands.
The CD is an electic collection of all original tunes written by Dieter Wachtel from personal experiences and events. There are several styles of music on the CD.
The title tune Brains and Eggs is about a Restaurant called Bill and Nada’s that used to be one of the few all nighters in Salt Lake City .in the seventies.
Everyone from musicians, taxi drivers, whores, would hang out there til the wee hours of the morning There specialty was called Brains and Eggs.
The place was filled with cigarette smoke and the smell of cheap perfume and bacon grease. It was quite the colorful hangout.
The song was written for a local video shoot about the restaurant.
The building is now torn down and is just a memory but we used it for our CD cover.
The collection of musicians used on this CD range from all styles of music and feature some of Salt Lakes best.
The CD notes list who and what they played for anyone interested.
We also included all the equipment and instruments we used on the CD.
