notes

During the making of this cd, I let friends and strangers listen to some of the songs and the most popular comments were these "This is different! "I wasn't expecting that type of sound!" "Is this a new style of gospel music?" I have to admit, I wasn't trying to create a new style of music, I was just expressing what God put in me. I believe the old saying, "Verity is the spice of life!" From a musical point of view, that is what this cd is about. It features different styles of music which has in turn reaches a wider audience of music listeners. There has been unbelievers that said," I usually don't listen to gospel music, but I can listen to this!" This is the goal of Christ. Reach the lost with the message of the gospel. This is what I was called to do.

Dray Hill’s objective is to spread the wonderful news of the Gospel throughout the world. I and Churchouse Records staff are currently developing a video for track 2 "Real Christians". A promotion campaign has been planed and is being carried out, which includes continuously looking for promotion opportunities, setting up and playing concert dates, retail placement, street promotions, radio play and web promotions. Up-dates of completed events and goals are placed on www.myspace,com/drayhill .

Brother Undra Hill is founder of the 7 year old gospel record label, “CHURCHOUSE RECORDS” and has written, produced and performed on all of the projects of the artist that came from this label. Two of his ballet songs were nominated for awards. The first was for the artist Eric Deon entitled “Died for You” (www.cdbaby.com/ericdeon) was nominated and won (2003 Kansas Music Best Song of the Year). The second was also for the artist Eric Deon entitled “Read About ME” (www.cdbaby.com/ericdeon) was nominated by the Detroit Music Awards (2004 Outstanding Gospel Song Writer) and made a video that was featured on BET Gospel Videos, which was produced "Gods Film and Video Production" by a subsidiary of Churchouse records.

Since those early days of success, Undra Hill and Churchouse Records faced many faith testing days. This cause the question of validity on rather the label was God inspired or not. This time of testing shook up and shook off everything that couldn’t hold on to what the Lord had promised. During these circumstances I was seeking God’s will. “Lord, do you want me to still move forward or are you releasing me from my charge?” “Am I to stop and give up?” “Am I doing something wrong?” “Am I going in the wrong direction?” Yes, there were many questions, but God is faithful. He never leaves us hanging. He began to remind me of the gifts that he had placed in me and told me to use what I have. As I slowly and cautiously began to adjust the way I thought about myself to the way the Lord was thinking about me, He began to send people to volunteer their time, effort and talent, to be a part of the Churchouse remodeling program.

But after riding through the storm the Lord confirmed his will concerning Churchouse Records. Today the Lord has blessed Churchouse Records to release its first musical artist within 3 years, “Dray Hill and Company” released his first project entitled “Glory Belongs To You” A project that allowed me to pour all my creative juices into it. I didn’t try to be concerned about being so commercial; I just put the songs that I liked the most, on the project. Some of these songs had been locked up in storage for years. At the time when I wrote them I didn’t know who they were for, they just had to come out of me to make room for new songs.

The Lord has gathered together a band that is so bad (good) that sometimes they blow my sox off. I play the Bass Guitar along with Keyboardist: Allen Ewell, Guitarist: Nate Minor, Drummer: Chuck Thompson, Vocalists: Dashawn, Tramaine and Timothy Evans.

Within a very short space of time, this project was nominated for the Newark, NJ, Ensound Music Awards / Best New Group, have had songs added to radio in Detroit, Flint and in heavy rotation on Gospel Synergy internet radio station @ http://www.live365.com/stations/atled1 Dray and company are currently accepting booking for events in 2008. It is exciting to see how the Lord’s remodeling of Churchouse Records is adding value to the company and has given us a new look.

The Lord has emboldened me to believe his call for my life, so by faith I take each step, not looking to the left or the right. I just keep focused on Him, until the day He fulfills each portion of His will in me. The "Glory Belongs To You" project is a part of that calling. "Verity is the spice of life!" From a musical point of view, that is what this cd is about.

Like the bass grooves. Song writing and imagery is great. All for His glory. I play it over and over. Thanks
