Barcelona’s Down Home have been shaking venues and festivals with their particular “neo swing crazy bluesin’ shaky rhythm & groovy boogie”.
Running Out Of Time is their first release, they have nothing but the most personal way to put together a voice, a slide guitar, a double bass, two saxophones, drums and playing original songs inspired on the 50’s swing & blues with the taste of this new century.

Basándose en estructuras clásicas de la música del S.XX, han dado un paso adelante renovando las formas con un sonido propio y una expresión característica. Temas como "Running Out Of Time", que abre el disco, "Maybe Tomorrow", donde el slide de Senra habla como el mejor de los oradores, pura elegancia de traje, corbata y whisky, o "Watch Your Back", con ese apoteósico diálogo entre saxos y ese final de película de Woody Allen; te hacen subir hasta alturas insospechadas. Composiciones que definen el futuro que debe seguir esta banda. Hay que tener valor para defender música como ésta. Si ya es difícil vivir de tu instrumento, casi imposible es tocar en un lenguaje que la inmensa mayoría de la gente cree muerto. Aún así, Down Home, con ya cinco años de historia, caminan seguros por los escenarios de Barcelona. En concierto, la potencia del disco se multiplica por cien. Es inevitable mover los pies. Senra presenta con ese carisma porteño tan suyo, canta, toca y se mueve con gestos de dibujo animado de los años veinte, con sombrero y micrófono incluidos; y el público no puede negarse a conectar con sus canciones. Y otro tanto para los de casa: nada de soberbia. Las improvisaciones de cuatro horas por instrumento no tienen lugar. Cada nota está colocada donde tiene que estar. Honestidad ante todo. "Running Out Of Time" es una ópera prima más que admirable. Es pasión. Es melancolía. Es adrenalina. Es un atraco a mano armada. Es una persecución. Es un buen botín. Down Home se lo merecen. Merecen ser y estar. Señoras y señores, estén preparados para ellos. "Shake your bones with this boogie, motherfuckers!"
