Downfall's newest release, Voice of Reason, is the band's most original sounding material to date, and draws its inspiration from the difficulties inherent in promoting a new brand of music in a area that would rather hear music that was popular when the Steelers won their last Super Bowl. Vocalist Chris Lucci sums it up best:
"These songs represent over four years of struggling and battling it out in an unkind musical environment. From fire-halls to picnic pavilions, bars to clubs, colleges to shit-holes, we've played and played all the while crafting songs that best represent us.
