From the hell bound heart of the East Bay Metal Scene comes Down Factor, the heaviest band in the Bay Area. Based in Oakland, Down Factor is a metal band that has evolved to a new culture of music full of aggression and intensity.
The music of Down Factor is its own monster. The groove in the music finds you. It mesmerizes you and sucks you in with a fierce intensity. You feel the anger, you feel the power, you feel the pain until it claws at you with the next change. The music comes with a crushing sound and a hard groove that stays constant throughout chaotic transitions and odd time signatures. The lyrics have something to say. Inspired by anything that stirs the blood, Down Factor sees things in a different light. With songs such as 13 Crosses, Open Your Eyes and In Vein, Down Factor writes about corrupted politics, drug addiction and murder.

Entire cd great combination of heavy vocals, screaming guitars
author: DAWGI love track number 2 "Brother 6" right from the first growling "wwhhooaahh!!" with the double bass accent and thick guitar. "13 Crosses" was the next tune I found my head banging to next, I know I haven't really said much about drummers in the past but this guy is awesome! Double bass, off beats, rolls, rhythm, got it all. These guys are ranked pretty high by my standards along the likes of slipknot and mudvayne. Entire cd great combination of heavy vocals, screaming guitars, and deep ass rocking drums. Top 3 : 1 - "Bother 6" 2 - "Broken shell" 3 - "13 Crosses"
