notes

Prepare yourself for the new dawn of metal.

Downdriven was formed in 1999, in Upstate, New York out of a frustration for finding good music to listen to.

With all the rapcore and pop bands flooding the radio, Downdriven looked to the masters of metal: Fear Factory, Pantera and Sepultura, for the core of their onslaught of brutality.

Chris Mandell, self-proclaimed philosopher, speaks the truth of today's America through hardcore/melodic vocals in the vein of Earth Crisis, Snapcase and Diecast.

Todd Kujo, lead guitarist, uses influences ranging all the way to Dick Dale for inspiration for his driving guitar riffs and solos; while Travis Stone's lightning fast double bass drums and Dom Casada's bass hammer home the pounding agression of Downdriven.

Three words to some up this album 'Fucking bad ass'. After hearing the first song Pain Remains, I was hooked. I'm amazed why this band aint on mtv2 and kerrang television. If you like vicious mad metal riffs, with crazy mint double kick drum, also a thick toned raw bass and not to forget the power vocals and speaks all truth, then this album is for you. So this is why I give this album a 5 for must have. Looking forward to the next album.
