notes
She's already being dubbed one of Gospel Music's promising new artist. Fayetteville, NC native Psalmist Dorlisa Gales is a gifted songwriter, composer, arranger and anointed musician. Her freshman release, "Simply Dorlisa" shows off her gift of arranging, and vocal delivery.
Track 1 "Sunshine in my soul feels like Sunday Morning.
Track 2 "We are not ashamed" written by Andre Crouch, is a standard traditional piece. It features Joseph Priester of High Priest Music Group as guest vocalist. He is also producer of this project.
Track 3 "Not My Will" with its urban flavor will give you a feeling of recommittment to Christ.
"Just let him flow" is a song that you can do a Holy Ghost dance too. Yea! Track 4 is all that!
Track 5 " Heart of God Interlude features another Andre Crouch tune, "Tell Them". This interlude will usher you for a moment in to the total presence of God as Flutist Supreme, Michael Porter, who appeared in the band scene of the movie "The Color Purple" starring Whoopi Goldberg, ministers to your soul with this extraordinary gift. The Flow Drive is Joseph Priester and Kevin Cloud's creation, paying homage to Quartet. This song is fun and will get you in a churchy, drivy move. "I have a right to praise him" was written during some very difficult times in the life of the Psalmist. She lost her husband, was involved in an almost fatal that would have claimed her life. Hear the sincerity of the melody as she proves that inspite of, she still has the right to praise him. The song, "Perfect Friend" was written by another gifted vocalist and musician, Rangel B. McLaurin. Arranged by Joseph Priester, this song talks Jesus Christ as the Perfect friend. Track 9 "Betta" by Kevin Cloud has a unique style of both Urban and Traditional Gospel, you'll enjoy it. And finally, "Nothing But the Blood", written by Sam Obie and arranged by Joseph Priester has a Calypso flava that makes you move and rejoice in the thought that you've been blood washed.
This is a must have in your collection of music.

author: Jacqueline Burkes (Jackee)I purchased the CD at a Valentine Banquet where the Psalmist did a live performance. I enjoy all of the songs. However, there is one in particular I love and that is I Have A Right to Praise Him. The song is very inspirational to me. I to have been through some difficult challenges and as I continue to listen to the entire CD it helps me to know that with God on my side I to have sunshine.

Music to make your heart smile and your soul glad!!!!
author: Rita MajorThe words help to heal, encourage and stimulate the soul. The music is light. It is not heavy and overwhelming. It has a soothing beat, and almost lures you into a spirtual trance. I feel a new appreciation of the CD everytime I listen to it. I attend the same church with Lisa and my husband purchased the CD afer he heard her perform one of the songs at church. He was moved by it when he heard it. I would encourage anyone to buy it and experience the soothing spiritual atmosphere. Become absorbed! Become annointed! Become refreshed in the beauty of the Lord's presence.
