author: LingVery nice music which is worth listening to again and again. It's mournful and simple but also laid-back and quite touching. Plus Paul has pretty sexy voice:p I love playing this disc when I am driving alone. 'Heartstrings' and 'Back at the front' are my favorite. But I think the CD is just a bit too short.

I just got it a few days ago and I cant help listening to it all the time... I wish I could see the band performing this album live. But I unfortunately live in Europe and they'll probably never come to tour here (COME TO PARIS!!!!!!!). Anyways, my favorite songs are Heartstrings, Back at the front and The unfinished business of murder. These songs are great. I looove the lyrics, the words are well-chosen and the music is exactly what I like. Simple, touching, just beautiful. P. Adelstein's voice is lovely! You should buy this album ! And I cant wait to have a second one. Hope the band is working on it...

It's got a bluesy quality that kind of penetrates right into your soul and really makes you want to see Doris live. My only complaint about this CD is that it's too short. I hope Paul Adelstein finds the time to make another one.
