notes
Twin Cities-based vocalist Dorothy Doring brings experience and polish to the 13 tracks on "About Time." Ranging from bebop to soulful blues, Dorothy is backed by some of the Twin Cities' finest musicians on this CD.
Along with Dorothy on vocals, "About Time" features:
Billy Holloman -- Hammond B3 Organ
Loren Walstad -- Guitar
Dean McClay -- Piano
Bruce Heine -- Bass
Danny McGee -- Saxophone
Donald Thomas -- Drums
In 2005, Dorothy released her latest CD, "Southern Exposure." Recorded in New Orleans, and completed just prior to the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, Dorothy is backed by some of the city's best musicians. Describing the release, "City Pages" said that "Doring turns in a sublime disc that could be considered a tribute to the Crescent City's sometimes overlooked contemporary jazz scene." "Southern Exposure" is available on CD Baby now!
