~billboard magazine

walls of sound and spirals of fog
Georg Lommen 4
Beautiful Space
author: JuanThis cd is steady and beautiful. It is luring and peacful. The vocals are intoxicating and the music is spacey. It brings to mind Catherine Wheels 1st album. I wish this band all the success! They have a fan in me!
A breath of fresh air
author: St. Louis Riverfront Times"...a breath of fresh air among those bands that delve into the ethereal...a range of luring melodies, which vary from spacey to funky at time, often bringing to mind the Cocteau Twins...impressive...promising..." — St. Louis Riverfront Times
Experimental rockers!
author: Laura T. Lynch of Kweevak.comDorian Gray can be described as "sonic, melodic, alternative rock." Their songs are dark, edgy and Maria's expressive vocals bring power and poise to this six-track collection. The mood and feel is consistent throughout this CD but I particularly liked the first two songs, entitled 'Falls to My Sleeve' and 'One Less Admired’. Both showcase Miller's evocative vocals, dramatic guitars and steady solid beats. Dorian Gray is a musical roller coaster of highs and lows. Their music is filled with emotion and honest raw textures. Dorian Gray is a fine example of progressive rock with chutzpah.
Girls who really know how to rock are few and far between, but the ones who hold
author: overlypretentiousindierockscenester from chicago, usaGirls who really know how to rock are few and far between, but the ones who hold the knowledge are not to be missed. This is a prime example of such a case. Dorian Gray’s new album, “Listen With Mother” not only brings back what long time fans love them for (rock, rock, and more rock), but also brings to the table new songs that inspire and cater to a number of any given emotions. The architect behind and in front of the amazing wall of sound is Maria Miller. Her dreamy ethereal vocals play a huge part in defining their music, along with the amazing guitar work performed by both her and Gil Petrovic, in good company with Michael Crow's relentless bass lines. Add the perfectionistic drumming of one Michael Koch and it makes one exciting piece of work that puts another marker in the timeline of Dorian Gray, a band that you’d be sorry to let pass you by.
